Raphael Gordon a.k.a. DJ Speex, was a big club head in the late 70's, dancing 'til
dawn and then developing up and close personal relationships with some of the greatest
DJ's in NYC. The Paradise garage was his weekend home, and being allowed upstairs
in the booth watching resident and legendary DJ LArry Levan work the turntables,
was enough to motivate him to start spinning on his own. He also was taken
under the wings of legendary remixers, Tee Scott, Francois K. and
David Morales, who continued his motivation.

He worked the underground club scene mixing house music and R&B for many
years before he began doing voiceovers on a small New Jersey radio station.
This led him to the mobile DJ industry where he began his long journey into the
wedding and corporate events market. His mixing skills, articulation, verbosity
and unmistakable baritone voice, has made him the great DJ and MC he is today.
